Yes — all our marquees are made using fully waterproof PE or PVC materials. However, there is an important difference between the two: – PE (Polyethylene) marquees: The material itself is completely waterproof. However, because PE is a light plastic fabric, the panels are stitched together rather than heat‑sealed. This means that during very heavy or prolonged rainfall, small droplets can occasionally form around the stitching points. For normal UK weather and light–moderate rain, this is not typically an issue. – PVC marquees: PVC covers are heat‑sealed, not stitched. This creates a continuous waterproof barrier, meaning no water can seep through the seams. PVC models provide the highest level of weather protection and are ideal for long events, commercial use, or unpredictable weather.
Our marquees are designed for everyday outdoor use when they are anchored correctly. For best stability, we recommend:
- Using all supplied guy ropes and ground stakes
- Adding additional weights or tie‑downs if stronger winds are expected
For safety reasons, we advise against using the marquee in severe or extreme wind conditions.
We also offer our Clear-Span Marquee range — a semi‑permanent solution specifically engineered for longer‑term installations and enhanced durability.
Most sizes take:
- 2–4 people,
- 45–90 minutes to assemble.
Larger models may take longer. No special tools are required.
For smaller sizes (3×3 and 3×6), it’s possible but not recommended. For anything 4m+ in width, you will need at least two people.
Yes — all models come with removable sidewalls, including window panels and door panels, so you can customise ventilation, access, and light.

- Summer events
- Autumn gatherings
- Light winter use
For year-round or commercial use, we recommend upgrading to a heavy-duty PVC model or our Clear-Span Marquee range.
- Grass: use stakes, ratchet straps and ropes.
- Patio/concrete: use weights, sandbags, or water-weights. You can also attach the marquee to objects such as trees, fences, buildings using ratchet straps.

Geodesic Garden Igloo FAQs
A geodesic garden igloo is a dome-shaped outdoor structure made from interlocking poles and a durable PVC cover. The design creates a strong, weather-resistant space you can use as a greenhouse, outdoor dining area, hot tub shelter, lounge, or year-round relaxation spot.
Most customers assemble their igloo in 1–2 hours with two people. All parts are pre-cut, and no special tools are required.
Yes—when properly anchored.
Geodesic domes are naturally aerodynamic and distribute stress evenly, making them more stable than flat-sided garden structures. Your igloo includes anchor points to secure it to grass, decking, or concrete. Always ensure it’s fully tightened and anchored before bad weather.
The PVC cover traps heat, making the dome naturally warmer than the outside temperature on sunny days. Many customers add a small heater to turn it into a cosy winter lounge. Just ensure adequate ventilation and follow heater safety guidelines.
The igloo includes ventilation windows to regulate heat. Opening the vents and rolling up the door helps prevent overheating. For extra summer comfort, we also offer our half transparent and blackout covers for extra shade.
We offer our igloos in three sizes, 2.8, 3.6 and 4.5m.
Yes. The igloo can be installed on grass, patios, composite decking, gravel, or concrete. Use the appropriate anchors or sandbags depending on the surface.
Our high-quality PVC cover typically lasts 2–5 years, depending on sun exposure, wind, and maintenance. Replacement covers are available, allowing you to keep the frame and refresh the dome affordably.
